About The Position

Canteen is hiring immediately for a ROUTE DRIVER - UTILITY position located at 4041 C St. Sacramento, CA 95819. This is a full-time position with multiple shifts available (Thursday-Monday, Friday-Tuesday, Saturday-Wednesday), and hours may vary. The role involves driving a company-owned truck over an established route to deliver and sell products, collecting money from machines, and making change. The position also includes servicing a particular route during the absence of the regular route or warehouse employee, assisting Customer Service Managers, and performing routine maintenance on machines.

Requirements

• Previous route driver experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers.
• Places stock on shelves or racks in vending machines.
• Collects stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
• Records transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; accountable for cash and product.
• Calls on existing customers to determine adequacy of service and resolves service complaints.
• Selects items from warehouse and loads truck; prepares order forms for food and pastry products.
• Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
