Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a CDL Driver, Class A or B, in the Mason City, IL area. As a CDL Driver, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Our customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors. Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, you collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day. You manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and also keep an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes. Taking responsibility for your truck, you keep it clean and complete a vehicle condition report on a daily basis. You provide exceptional professional service to all customers and follow all laws and regulations. You love that you get to hit the road for a living, while still being home every night!

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Valid Class A or B CDL license with tanker endorsement
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized with superior time management skills
  • Ability to maintain your composure in difficult situations
  • Ability to easily adapt to changes and work well with others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting
  • Experience with truck hydraulics
