About The Position

The position involves loading and unloading materials or packages using powered industrial equipment, manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and/or motorized carts. The individual will ensure that needed products are delivered from the warehouse to production sites and will pick up goods, supplies, and packages from production sites for delivery to the warehouse. Planning the most efficient delivery and pickup schedules to minimize delays and production downtime is essential. The role also includes inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, reporting any mechanical problems to the supervisor, and maintaining required vehicle and warehouse logs. Additionally, the individual will prepare parcel and pallet shipments as required (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL, etc.) and organize the warehouse/work area to maintain a neat and orderly environment, ensuring good housekeeping practices. Following all safety requirements set forth by the company is crucial, and the individual may assist with physical inventory processes and perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience driving a box truck.
  • Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehousing experience.
  • Extensive forklift experience is required. Ability to be certified to company requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials or packages using powered industrial equipment, manual pallet jack, hand truck and/or motorized carts.
  • Ensure needed product is delivered from warehouse to production sites.
  • Pick up goods/supplies/packages from the production sites for delivery to warehouse.
  • Plan most efficient delivery and pickup schedules to minimize delays and production downtime.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle; add fluids, check tires, brakes, lights and fuel.
  • Report any vehicle mechanical problems to Supervisor.
  • Maintain required vehicle and warehouse logs.
  • Prepare parcel and pallet shipments as required (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL etc.).
  • Organize warehouse/work area – maintain in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Ensure continued good housekeeping in work environment.
  • Follow all safety requirements as set forth by the company.
  • Assist with physical inventory processes.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
