About The Position

The purpose of this role is to provide quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The Route Driver will operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities, loading and unloading laundry carts. This position requires establishing professional relationships with customers and providing quality customer service, representing the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance. Key aspects include safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and following hours of service rules and standard vehicle operating procedures.

Requirements

• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class A driver’s license
• Must have clean driving record per company policy
• Have six months to one-year experience
• Be available to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Be able to use repetitive arm motions

• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
• Cross-train on other routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed
