About The Position

Job Summary: Thisposition delivers ice to customers in straight trucks that meet theweight requirement of a Class B CDL license. Drivers are either assigneda delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customerlocations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operatedare subject to change depending on business needs. The driver will be required to use a forklift and pallet jack. The driver must load, unload, and rotateproducts in merchandisers/ice boxes. Will be required to clean,maintain, and relocate ice merchandisers. The driver should be able tolift 50 lbs. throughout the day. The driver is required to work in allweather conditions. Weekend and holiday hours during peak season is a requirement forthe position. Driver must visit established accounts, including gasstations, grocery stores, and other customers, while frequently drivingbetween customers and the plant location. Upon arriving at the customerlocation, drivers are responsible for delivering the product, invoicing,collecting payment, obtaining proof of delivery, and basic customerservice. Overtime will be required during the busy summer season. Workis conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have a current/valid driver’s license.
Must maintain a medical certificate
Must pass drug screening
Must possess a driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standards
Previous experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to which you will beassigned to operate during the time of employment with the company isrequired
Must be able to drive in stressful environments
Must follow all DOT compliance rules and regulations
