About The Position

Drive box truck to/from customers to deliver/pick up parts. This role represents our company well to our customers. Performs in-plant operations utilizing forklift such as loading and unloading trucks, moving raw and finished product to and from production areas, and places items in designated areas in the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Class B License with DMV health card
  • Follow DOT regulations
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong directional sense or working knowledge of the local area highway system
  • Customer service type attitude representing the company to our customers
  • Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
  • Consistent legible writing skills
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language
  • Ability to lift and move 1-50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative manner
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • 1 year shipping and receiving experience
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to follow multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic typing and computer skills helpful

  • Maintain daily inspection log for company truck. Make sure necessary repairs and preventative maintenance are promptly scheduled.
  • Provide feedback on route efficiency, and any customer issues or complaints.
  • Ensure that POD is secured and returned to plant on all delivered products.
  • Represent the organization in a courteous, professional, and presentable manner at all times. This position has a high degree of customer contact.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving department when not on the truck.
  • May Pick up unfinished work at our customers and/or deliver finished work to our customers.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
