Route Delivery Specialist
About The Position
The Route Delivery Specialist will be responsible for executing both delivery and warehouse duties, with a strong emphasis on providing superior customer service. This role involves ~25% delivery work and ~75% warehouse responsibilities, requiring overnight travel (2–10 nights per month). The ideal candidate will drive non-CDL vehicles (up to 26’ box trucks) or travel by air to reach customers. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to represent RadCare Services (RCS) professionally in diverse settings, including hospitals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective communication with customers.
- Strong mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Familiarity with GPS devices for navigation.
- Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to address diverse situations effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Regularly lift and move items up to 30 pounds and push/pull heavy racks.
- Frequent bending, stooping, standing, and walking.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a delivery driver and/or working within hospital environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site representative of RCS, ensuring professional customer interactions.
- Evaluate and address complex delivery or customer service situations, escalating issues as needed.
- Safely transport goods to customer locations, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic laws.
- Load, secure, and unload heavy shipping totes using a pallet jack.
- Verify delivery accuracy by matching items and quantities to warehouse records.
- Navigate hospital facilities efficiently and adhere to site-specific requirements.
- Communicate with the RCS Operations leadership team to report process deviations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
- Participate in process development and refinement within the operations team.
- Collaborate effectively within internal and external teams.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
