About The Position

Industrial Source is seeking a full-time Class B CDL Route Delivery Driver to operate delivery trucks for transporting compressed gas cylinders and industrial supplies in the Portland metro area. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and compliance with regulations, while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Current medical card required.
• Experience as a delivery driver is necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handheld scanning devices for inventory management.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B delivery truck to deliver compressed gas cylinders and industrial supplies.
• Interact professionally with customers to ensure their needs are met during deliveries.
• Assist in loading and unloading cylinders, recording type and quantity, and safely strapping them.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures related to hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
• Inspect and verify shipments against delivery tickets and customer orders using handheld scanners.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery logs and inspection reports.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery status and issues.
• Manage delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery trucks.
