About The Position

In January 2023, Victory Wine Group became Maverick Beverage Company of Texas and in 2025 we became Johnson Brothers Maverick of Texas. As an importer and distributor of fine wines and craft spirits based in Texas, we represent a high-quality, diversified collection of wines and spirits from around the world, many of which are family-owned and operated. SUMMARY We are looking for reliable Route Delivery Drivers who are concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting merchandise in a timely and safe manner. Must have a current Class B CDL license. The Delivery Driver will adhere to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client. To succeed as a Delivery Driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our customers with an excellent experience.

Requirements

LICENSED as a CDL Class B Driver.
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of driving experience in the past 5 years.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record based on State and Company standards.
Must obtain and hold a DOT Med card and remain in DOT compliance as a condition of employment.
Must be able to maintain accurate inventory.
Must be flexible and able to ask questions.
Strong time management and customer service skills
Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods
Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.
The Company requires the use of Mobilelink app to be installed on cell phones for our delivery routing software procedures.
Must complete and pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment DOT drug screen
Must obtain and retain a valid DOT Medical Examination Card

Nice To Haves

Wine and Spirits warehouse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe and timely manner.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.
Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedule.
Note that routes may change based on business necessity, and the same route daily is not guaranteed.
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Must be able to travel within established geographic areas, as necessary.
Must Meet DOT compliance and the requirements of our Driver Safety Manual (effective 1/1/24).
Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet company driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
