We're excited to share an open Route Auditor position within the Business Optimization Team at WM in Southern California. This position is vital to our market area as it contributes to meeting municipal contract compliance and capturing revenue leakage. This role is a salaried position that completes in-person audits with adherence to all WM Safety Principles and DriveCam Program. Furthermore, this role covers all of Southern California, so travel is expected and depending on distance, overnight stay will be required. Typically, the tasks for this role need to be completed simultaneous to driver hours (as early as 4 am and as late as 7pm) and it will require riding along with drivers at times. The Route Auditor analyzes transportation routes, methods, and procedures to develop and utilize the most economically advantageous and efficient means of transportation. The Route Auditor will work out in the field interacting with drivers to verify driver sequencing and work with route managers. They will conduct audits on contractual cart counts, compliance, markings, logos, utilization (recycling, waste etc.) and other ad hoc projects as required.
