About The Position

The Roustabout Foreman is responsible for leading and supporting oilfield operations, including maintenance and repair of wells, equipment, and facilities. This role involves supervising a crew, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and performing a wide range of labor-intensive tasks using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. This position requires adaptability, as duties may vary daily, and the ability to work in extreme and inclement weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in construction or general labor, including proficiency with tools and equipment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead
  • Ability to use hands and arms for handling, gripping, and manipulating tools and equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to hear and communicate clearly in both quiet and loud environments

  • Previous oilfield or roustabout experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a crew, ensuring daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Complete required daily reports and paperwork
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and shop equipment
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Maintain reliable attendance and be available for scheduled on-call and weekend work
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and office personnel
  • Assemble, disassemble, tighten, and repair pipes, casing, tubing, and pump rods using hand and power tools
  • Inspect flow lines for leaks using visual checks and electronic detection equipment; perform necessary repairs
  • Load, unload, and transport pipes using winches, lifts, or manual labor
  • Dismantle and repair oilfield machinery, boilers, and related equipment
  • Install and repair tanks, motors, and well equipment
  • Set well equipment, including cement pads and pumping units
  • Secure pumping units and install counterweights for proper balance
  • Dig drainage ditches and prepare sites for operations
  • Assist with construction tasks such as erecting derricks and building foundations
  • Clear land, including removal of trees and brush, to prepare drilling sites and reduce hazards
  • Perform general yard and facility maintenance
  • Clean up spills in accordance with safety procedures
