Rough Cut Operator
About The Position
This position is responsible for operating the rough cut machinery, maintaining the machinery, keeping accurate documentation, and handling material. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate the machinery (Waterjet/Combi-Cut, saw) as well as monitor and verify it is operating correctly at all times Perform quality checks as required Interpret blueprint drawings and sketches to plan. Responsible for set-up and operation of cutting machinery Perform all required documentation and organization for material received, moved, scrapped, and quality verified Responsible for the visual inspection of equipment with complex parts, preventative maintenance, as well as area upkeep and cleanliness Operate overhead crane and forklift Keep work area clean and organized Cross-train on multiple types of equipment Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management
Requirements
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
- Ability to become certified in using an overhead crane
- Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience: Mechanically inclined is preferred
- High attention to detail

- Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
- Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift
- Employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.
