What Impact You'll Make Within Gas Turbine Engineering (GTE), our Design Liaison Engineering team is centered on providing design engineering support to our global supply chain partners. We work with an unwavering sense of urgency, quality, and innovation. Our team serves as the bridge between supply chain manufacturing and design engineering groups - we maintain high technical rigor to ensure quality of the product is not compromised while working with the sense of urgency that is needed by supply chain and our customers. The Lead Engineer will be dedicated to rotor hardware across all flavors of GTs that GE Vernova offers, at least in some capacity. They will have technical ownership of components such as compressor wheels, turbine wheels, shafts, cover plates, and/or bolting. This is a hands-on role requiring strong collaboration with interfacing teams such as quality, suppliers, and other engineering functions. They will be responsible for delivering optimal solutions for our customers and will have a focus on items like driving defect reduction, qualifications, analyzing and dispositioning deviant hardware (NCNs and SDRs), performing hand calculations and detailed analyses, owning specific actions related to engineering drawing revisions, applying lean principals to drive productivity and in general - helping to solve some of the biggest challenges we face in manufacturing these complex GT components and assemblies.
