The Roto Cast B Operator is responsible for performing a variety of repetitive duties to set up and operate a rotational molding machine, which is essential for producing various sizes of plastic containers and custom products. This role involves not only the operation of the molding machine but also performing secondary operations on roto-molded products as required. The operator will work from both written and verbal instructions, ensuring adherence to standard safety and manufacturing procedures as documented by the company. In this position, the operator must understand and follow established company and department policies and procedures. A key aspect of the role is the ability to safely and correctly use a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries, and other equipment utilized in the production process. The operator will also need to read and comprehend basic information on blueprints and manufacturing work orders to produce products that meet required specifications. The Roto Cast B Operator will perform or assist in machine operations, which includes setting up and servicing molds, monitoring instrument controls, checking product quality, and making necessary adjustments. Sharing technical knowledge with others during training sessions is also an important responsibility. Maintaining established quality standards, keeping work areas and equipment safe, clean, and orderly, and maintaining daily production and other records are essential tasks. The operator is expected to acquire the ability to operate a rotational molding machine with minimal supervision and perform other related duties as required or directed.
