As a Rotational Intern, you won’t just be “shadowing”—you’ll contribute to real-world tasks that help our bank serve tribal communities. You will gain a foundational view of how a mission-driven bank operates and get exposure to the unique ways finance supports tribal economic development. You can expect to build a professional network and see firsthand how community banking makes an impact. During this 8-week program, you will rotate through four key departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry: Credit & Lending: Assist with financial statement spreads and learn the fundamentals of risk assessment for tribal and small business loans. Accounting & Financial Operations: Support accounts payable/receivable and gain exposure to bank-specific financial reporting and auditing. Branch Operations: Experience the “front lines” of community banking by assisting with client services and understanding regulatory compliance. Marketing & Community Impact: Learn how the Bank shares its story by assisting with content and campaigns that highlight our work in Indian Country, including our community impact and Mission in Motion initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education: A current college student (typically 2nd or 3rd year) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Native American Studies, Tribal Management or related fields of study.
  • Academic Standing: GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Skills : Basic knowledge of accounting/financial fundamentals, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with a collaborative, positive attitude.
  • Mission Alignment: A genuine interest in supporting Native American communities and understanding tribal economic development.
  • Must pass a background check prior to acceptance.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
