About The Position
Koch Capabilities is seeking a Rotational Environmental Specialist to join our team in Summer 2025 across various locations including Rosemount, MN; Corpus Christi, TX; Duncombe, IA; Beatrice, NE; Dodge City, KS; Enid, OK; or St. James, LA. This position is part of the Rotational EHS Professional (REP) Program, which spans two years and is designed to prepare participants for a mid-level Specialist role at a site. During this program, the Environmental Specialist will be assigned to a host site where they will support day-to-day environmental initiatives while also having opportunities to travel to other locations for larger environmental initiatives such as turnarounds, outages, audits, and assessments. As a key member of the safety team, the Environmental Specialist will gain rapid experience in various areas including regulatory compliance, environmental assessments, waste management, and sustainability initiatives. The REP Program is structured to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the operations at one facility while also allowing them to network and collaborate with personnel from multiple sites. This role is tailored to the individual’s interests and strengths, providing limitless opportunities to gain valuable experience while supporting the safe operations of the site. Responsibilities may include analyzing process and environmental trends to identify improvement opportunities, participating in water, waste, and air reporting, engaging in government auditing, and being part of EH&S audit teams and incident investigations. The Environmental Specialist will also develop their capabilities around risk-planning tools and enhance their knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance, and interactions with government and legal entities. A critical aspect of this role is to support operating sites in understanding and maintaining compliance with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other relevant regulations.
