We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in the oil and gas or related industries. This role requires a proactive approach to reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of rotating machinery systems. Provide day-to-day on-site, and off-site, technical assurance and support for rotating equipment. Initiate and complete MOCs for design changes. Ensure that rotating equipment and accompanying systems meet current best practices and industry standards while optimizing safety, reliability, and maintainability. Provide recommendations for improving “bad actor” equipment and develop/ repair scopes for rotating equipment. Assist Operations and Maintenance in troubleshooting and improving other rotating equipment systems, such as compressors, centrifuges, vacuum pumps, etc. Work with multi-discipline teams to maintain a synergistic approach to equipment design and provide commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting support to ensure successful project implementation, improvements, and reliability. Assist the Project Engineering group on pump sizing and pump selection for new and existing projects and conduct failure analysis and root cause analysis on failed pumps/pumping systems. Provide Vibration Analysis Support for long and short-term reliability issues, such as: monitoring vibration and temperature data on critical machines & rotating equipment and analyze vibration data. Develop/Prepare purchase specifications/data sheets for Rotating Equipment.

  • 5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent of 10-15 years of field/refinery experience in Rotating Equipment.
  • Knowledge of rotating plant equipment and good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes and procedures.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes required.
  • Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
