About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer. Essential Duties: Provide technical expertise on the repair of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and gearboxes. Develop work scope for equipment repair to meet both company and customer requirements. Develop welding procedures for repairs associated with rotating equipment. Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of rotating machinery repairs to identify improvements and efficiency optimization. Prepare detailed reports, including equipment performance assessments, failure analysis, and recommendations for corrective actions. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, providing expert input on mechanical and operational issues. Review and approve technical documentation related to rotating equipment including drawings and service reports. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Participate in preparation of budgets, cost control, and scheduling for rotating equipment-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with rotating equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, equipment design, maintenance, and reliability.
  • Ability to write Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR), and associated test reports.
  • Experience with failure analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD) and equipment analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in industrial environments with rotating equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on equipment inspections and repairs.
  • Must be able to work in standing, bending, and kneeling positions as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in rotating equipment or maintenance management (e.g., API, SKF).
  • Experience with vibration analysis, alignment, and balancing of rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in critical industrial environments.
