Instrument rating or Certified flight instructor with Instrument rating ( CFII )
At least two years of flight experience or 100 hours of private flight time
Experience teaching online, asynchronous, or synchronous courses
Specialization degree in Aviation Science, Aviation Engineering/Management, and/or Aeronautical Engineering with Professional Pilot License and other Flight Certifications approved by the FAA
Experience teaching online or hybrid/blended format at university level or documented training in teaching online
Higher education teaching experience in a high-demand occupational area (e.g., Private Aircraft Operations, Instrument Flight Rules for Aviation, Principals and Methods of Flight Instruction, Theory of Multi-Engine Aircraft Operations, Theory of Commercial Flight)
Nice To Haves
Master’s degree in aviation and/or education discipline
Experience with online curriculum development in Canvas
Three or more years of teaching experience in K-12, two-year or four-year college or university
