About The Position

An incredibly kind family of four in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles is seeking a live-out rotational nanny for their 3-year-old twins. The start date is flexible for the perfect fit, but ASAP is preferred. The daily schedule while on shift will be 6:30am-7pm (wake-up to bedtime), and the nannies will work on a 14 or 7 day rotation. Flexibility will be needed for night-time coverage, with notice, and travel. The parents hope to find a career nanny who can engage their children in developmentally appropriate and educational activities and stay with the family long-term. The children are in school Monday through Friday, 9am-1pm. During this time, the nanny will do child meal prep, organizing, and child-related laundry.

Requirements

The parents are active and involved, so you must know when to fade in and out of the background while staying busy
A pitch-in attitude and a proactive and positive personality
Loving, calm, and able to be playful and silly
Excited to work with these ages, know ages and stages, and what developmental milestones are coming next.
Confident swimming skills and comfortable supervising children in the pool
Travel ready: experienced traveling with families
Professional/career nanny who knows how to maintain boundaries and able to navigate being in this kind of role
Tech savvy (gmail, calendar, ordering on Amazon, etc.)
Easy going personality, able to roll with changes, and adapt quickly to different environments
No dog allergies and comfortable with a large friendly dog
Team player with excellent communication; the housekeeper has been with the family for many years and the other nanny has been with the children since infancy
Located commuting distance from Brentwood. The family is not open to fly in/fly out and accommodation is not provided unless doing overnights
Legal to work in the US
Driver’s license and clean driving record; nanny car provided
Trustline certification, or willing to certify

Nice To Haves

Ideally, candidates should have an educational background in Child Development/ECE or other relevant field and be able to help with homework as the children get older

Responsibilities

Full childcare including providing a warm and loving environment while implementing respectful boundaries and promoting age appropriate independence and manners.
Driving the children to and from school, play-dates, and outings
Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
Helping with child-related meals including involving the children in cooking when they are home
Managing the tidiness and organization of the children's spaces and belongings including playroom and bedroom
Child-related laundry and dishes. There is a housekeeper who handles deep cleaning.
