About The Position

A family in Encinitas, CA, is seeking a long-term ROTA career nanny for their 2-year-old twins, starting ASAP. The schedule will be 1 week on/1 week off. Both children are in sync and in a good routine. This is a long-term, indefinite placement. Another nanny will work the alternating weeks and there is a part-time housekeeper who comes Monday through Friday but candidates must be comfortable working autonomously with two children for 7 days straight when they are on duty. Applicants should ideally be based in the greater Southern California area, though the family will consider formidable candidates outside of this.

Requirements

Must have verifiable experience working with multiples in this age group
Must have verifiable experience working on a ROTA schedule
US passport, Green Card or EAC
Passport ready and willing to travel both domestically and internationally
Trustline registered (or willing to register ASAP)
Verifiable twins experience is a must
Candidates must have a clean driving record and current driving license (a car will be provided for use on duty)
Candidates must be dog-friendly
Available to start ASAP

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate will be friendly, with a positive/fun demeanor
A solid understanding of developmental milestones is preferred, as well as an educational background in child development or other related field.
Candidates who are either proponents of, or have a solid understanding of, child-led learning (RIE, Reggio, Montessori etc.) would be best suited to this opportunity

Responsibilities

Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the children at all times
Ensuring the children are hitting developmental milestones, scheduling play-dates, planning fun, educational and age-appropriate activities, and generally keeping the children engaged and inspired.
Basic meal prep, or candidates may also order food via a food delivery service or order fresh and ready-made produce locally.
