BEL AIR, CA (INTERNATIONAL SEARCH): An ultra-high-net-worth British family is seeking an exceptional LIVE-IN or ROTA NANNY with a strong British background, ideally a Norland Nanny, to support their delightful 2-year-old daughter in a fully staffed, high-profile household. This is a rare opportunity for a polished, career nanny who brings impeccable standards, warmth, and structure, and who can thoughtfully prepare a young child for a future educational path that includes a Scottish boarding school environment. The family is truly focused on finding the right long-term fit and is flexible on schedule, structure, and compensation for an outstanding candidate.
This role centers on providing high-level toddler care while intentionally building foundational etiquette, manners, and social graces in an age-appropriate, positive way. Table etiquette is especially important, including consistent coaching on “please” and “thank you,” calm mealtime structure, and proper utensil use as developmentally appropriate. The child is described as easygoing, joyful, and adventurous, with no medical concerns or allergies. The nanny will collaborate with an established team, including a house manager, housekeepers, additional nannies, gardeners, and evening security. Professionalism, discretion, and seamless teamwork are essential.
The family resides in a beautiful Bel Air home with views, a pool, gym access, a staff kitchen, and excellent amenities. The home includes stairs, and the candidate should be comfortable in a large house and attentive to safety and supervision. Pool safety is critical. The pool has a secure cover, and the child also participates in swim lessons, so candidates must be confident with water safety and hands-on supervision. The family also has five tiny chihuahuas who are a beloved part of daily life, so genuine comfort with small dogs is required.
Cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are non-negotiables for this role. The nanny must maintain exceptionally high standards, prioritize handwashing and overall hygiene practices, and be consistently polished and professional. The family requires a uniform of black scrubs while on duty. Norland candidates may wear their Norland uniform. Hair should be worn neatly pulled back and overall appearance should be tidy and presentable at all times.
Travel is a significant component of the position. The family flies private at times, and when traveling commercially, Mom, child, and nanny often fly British Airways, business class. The nanny should have a valid passport and be travel-ready. The family is open to covering a few flights back to the UK throughout the year for the nanny. A confident driver is required, as the nanny will transport the child as needed, and should be comfortable driving a larger vehicle. The family will provide a vehicle, including a personal-use car for off-duty time.
This role may be structured as live-in or rotational, depending on the best match. A private bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet are provided for live-in candidates, along with excellent staff accommodations. The family can accommodate visa processing timelines and is willing to wait 3–4 months, covering legal fees and associated costs for the right candidate. The start date is flexible, though sooner is preferred.
The ideal candidate is British, poised, and developmentally knowledgeable, with a calm, confident presence and the ability to guide a child with warmth and consistency. Norland training is highly preferred. Candidates should be polished, discreet, emotionally intelligent, proactive, and comfortable working within a fully staffed, security-conscious environment.Compensation is highly competitive and flexible, based on experience, training, and schedule structure. • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
