About The Position

The Challenge Summary: Roper Corporation (a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Appliances, a Haier Company) is a consumer focused, highly energized, and flexible family producing the most innovative, highest quality, cost competitive residential cooking appliances in the world. The co-op/intern program is designed to give energetic and talented students who demonstrate strong technical/analytical and leadership skills an opportunity to gain real world experience in their chosen fields of study. The co-op program will last up to five semesters alternating between full time work and study semesters; the intern program will last up to 5 semesters and is determined upon need. Part time work may be available. What you will Do Position Description: Assignments will typically be either in the Product design or manufacturing environment. Co-Ops/Interns will work in a team environment to complete projects designated by their Team Leader/Mentor. Co-Ops/Interns will be responsible for lean projects that have real impact on the business. Projects may include, but are not limited to, the following fields: product design, lean manufacturing, heat transfer, gas combustion, electronic control specification, packaging, electro-mechanical devices, evaluation, reliability, assembly production, fabrication and finishing, production equipment and fixture specification, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Successful candidates will have a strong record of academic achievement, significant leadership roles on campus on in the community, and solid analytical skills.
• Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving, initiative, strong communication skills, effective team skills and coursework or related experience in their major field of study.
• Candidate must have unrestricted work authorization for the US.
