Proper personal protective equipment must be utilized, and directions from the Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician must be followed. A healthy respect for heights is essential, along with compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety procedures. The employee will understand work permits and participate in job hazard analyses, as well as required training and rope access certification sessions. The role requires maintaining a working understanding of rope access safe working practices, inspecting and verifying rope access systems and components before use, and recognizing worksite hazards. Proficiency in rescue techniques is necessary, and assistance in rescues may be required as directed and in accordance with certification level.
