To learn more about us, visit https://www.austin-ind.com/what-we-do/industrial . Rope Access Level 3 We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rope Access Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs in hard-to-reach areas using rope access techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be comfortable working at heights in various environments, including construction sites. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Execute rope access techniques to safely reach work areas for inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as welding, rigging, and heavy equipment operation. Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and structures to identify any issues that require attention. Collaborate with team members to ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, ensuring they are always ready for use. Document work is performed and report any significant findings or concerns to supervisors. Drive trucks or operate forklifts as needed to transport materials or equipment on construction sites. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the construction and maintenance industries.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Must have experience with drilling and earth stabilization projects.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for truck driving responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors, ability to solve technical issues in the field
- 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
- Valid TWIC Card
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in welding and rigging practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Previous experience working on construction sites or geotechnical stabilization environments is advantageous.
- ASNT Level II certification preferred
