About The Position

Mistras Group, Inc is seeking Rope Access API 510/570 Inspectors who are willing to travel and work on short-term and long-term projects as needed, with an immediate start. The role involves performing internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed refinery equipment. Responsibilities include visual inspection of completed work, recommending and approving repairs, assisting in scheduling inspection activities, and ensuring proper use of safety procedures and equipment. Inspectors are expected to complete customer and company job-related forms, abide by company policies, complete all required training, and deliver reports to clients. The position requires working outdoors in plant and/or shop areas, often around production machinery with extreme noise levels, and wearing required safety equipment. It also involves performing a variety of tasks, often with changing assignments on short notice, and prioritizing work to meet specific deadlines.

Requirements

Maintains certification as a Level I, II, or III Rope Access Technician (SPRAT or IRATA).
Possess the related API 510/570 certification with at least one year of related experience.
Understanding of traditional NDE.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel and be able to write detailed inspection reports.
Must have the ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
Capable of climbing, working at high elevations and working in confined spaces.
Must be able to walk and climb to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
Must have sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively.
Must have sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to conduct investigations.
Must have sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.

Nice To Haves

New construction experience highly preferred.
Technical school or college credits preferred.

Responsibilities
