The Front Office Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day Front Office Operations including the staff of the Front Desk, Night Audit, Valets Operation, and PBX Operator. The person in this role will ensure the Front Desk Staff provides exemplary service to all hotel guests to deliver a memorable guest experience. Assists in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (Front Office and Housekeeping) and managing staff. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the rooms department.

Requirements

  • Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
  • Experience with Opera PMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day Front Office Operations including Front Desk, Night Audit, Valets Operation, and PBX Operator.
  • Ensure exemplary service is provided to all hotel guests.
  • Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
  • Verify that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop game plans to address areas of need.
  • Lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Assist employees in understanding guests’ ever-changing needs and expectations.
  • Publish all guest satisfaction results in a timely fashion.
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with employee and guest concerns.
  • Communicate and update all goals and results with employees.
  • Assist in performing required annual BSA.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Interview and assist in making hiring decisions.
  • Verify that training for new team members is thorough and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Solicit employee feedback and utilize an 'open door' policy.
