A Rooms Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of guest services, valet services, concierge and front desk services, housekeeping, laundry and communications in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner. The Rooms Operations Manager is also overall responsible for providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity and developing and supporting managers and team members’ performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in all aspects
  • Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation
  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position in a luxury hotel operation
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Rooms Division Operations
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent guest service and problem resolution skills
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation; and the ability to work comprehensively with spreadsheets and budgeting packages
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members
  • An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle records check
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, push, pull, bend and stoop for a period of eight or more (8+) hours

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the organization and administrative functions in all areas of the Rooms Division
  • Ensuring total compliance with standards of operation
  • Ensuring that staffing is maintained at an appropriate level to match business demand
  • Participating in all regular and ad hoc operational meetings
  • Closely monitoring the financial performance of all departments, in particular monitoring all Rooms expenses to ensure that they are kept in line with budget; and providing solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measures
  • Support Front Office Manager in daily operations of the front desk and valet
  • Ensure The Allison service standards are consistently delivered
  • Handle escalated guest concerns, service recovery and VIP arrivals
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize room inventory, upgrades and availability
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, audit procedures and property management systems.
  • Ensure safe, efficient valet and transportation services
  • Coordinate with concierge on guest programming, activations and guest journey experiences
  • Support Executive Housekeeping Manager in daily housekeeping operations
  • Conduct regular room inspections and quality audits
  • Conduct weekly property walks to ensure cleanliness across all areas
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues quickly
  • Oversee housekeeping controls; labor, inventory and ordering
  • Foster a culture of luxury service, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Conduct daily stand up and interdepartmental communication
  • Monitor guest feedback, satisfaction scores and online reviews
