About The Position

The Rooms Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. This role focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The manager leads a team, ensures compliance with standards, and works towards achieving property goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping).
  • Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance.
  • Monitor compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Lead specific teams while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals.
  • Verify that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop game plans to address needs and expand strengths.
  • Communicate and update all goals and results with employees.
  • Perform hourly job functions as needed and assist/teach the team scheduling against guest and hours/occupied room goals.
