About The Position

The purpose of the Rooms Manager is to oversee all areas of operation relating to the guest experience for Reservations, Front Desk, and Ideal Services. The Rooms Manager will also act as a rotational manager for Housekeeping and Laundry. Requirements

  • At least 3 years directly related experience (Hotel-Front Desk) in a managerial role.
  • Must be able to work approximately 50 hours per week, flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent organizational, supervisory, and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work well under stressful situations and handle challenges in a professional manner.
  • Must have a 4 diamond presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards of guest services and a consistent guest experience as documented by JD Power, Medallia and AAA ratings.
  • Ensure that the Front Desk and Reservations departments operate at peak efficiency to maximize guest-room availability and attain high occupancies with minimum overbooking.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Front Desk, Reservations, PBX records with direct and open lines of communications to other departments within the hotel.
  • Manage the rate structure via Reservations and Front Office salesmanship to meet or exceed average rate goals and total rooms revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policy and procedures through Front Office systems and controls.
  • Monitor and control Front Office payroll costs and other expenses in accordance with OHC budgets.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with all internal departments.
  • Lead marketing efforts including Select Guest, ESP, Weekend Packages, and Omni Club.
  • Ensure accurate occupancy forecasting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of daily operating results and statistical information related to revenue and expenses.
  • Ensure maximum cooperation between the Hotel Front Office, the Bretton Arms Front Office and the non-branded properties.
  • Maintain an efficient means of transportation for guests between different venues on property.
  • Provide support and guidance for the Activities Concierge Desk.
  • Manage the Supervisors and all daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry team.
  • Manage the 100 point inspection process.
  • Conduct guestroom inspection checklist and inspections of stayover service and turndown service.
  • Conduct inspections of public areas and work with lobby attendants to maximize efficiency and quality of work.
  • Check all washing machines and dryers to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assign all Laundry associates to their stations when they check-in for the day.
  • Supervise the spotting and washing of all stained linens/terry.
  • Recommend linen to be converted to rags when necessary.
  • Ensure the iron is in good operational condition.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping Assistant, Room Service Manager, Restaurant Manager, Convention Service Manager for all daily specials and weekly/monthly requirements.
  • Manage Laundry associate morale, absenteeism and daily production.
