About The Position

Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, situated in the north Georgia foothills, is a 3,500-acre conference and leisure destination. The Rooms Manager-in-Training Program is a fast-track career development opportunity specifically designed for recent college graduates. This 12-month program involves comprehensive immersion in both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments. The primary objective is to provide participants with a solid foundation that will prepare them for a long-term career within HEI Hotels and Resorts. Requirements

  • Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments at the assigned hotel.
  • Complete shifts in each position within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
  • Consistently attend department meetings within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel.
  • Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Front Office and Housekeeping.
  • Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
  • Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
