About The Position

The Denver Marriott Tech Center boasts 605 guest rooms, over 49,000 square feet of meeting space, and a local Beer Garden, conveniently located near the light rail and Denver attractions. The Rooms Inspector ensures that public areas are promptly cleaned and guest rooms are maintained, cleaned, and inspected to standard for resale. This role is responsible for training associates on customer service, cleaning standards, and adherence to department operations, as well as inspecting rooms and assigned areas for cleanliness and maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
  • Requires working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies and operations.
  • Requires supervisory skills.
  • Ability to interpret reports.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, counsel and train Public Area Attendants, Room Attendants and Linen Runners.
  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs, LSOPs, and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Issue assignments to staff, reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
  • Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guest, staff and company assets.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
