About The Position

As a Rooms Controller at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by managing room assignments and ensuring that guests' requests are met. This position involves coordinating check-in procedures, handling reservations, and maintaining communication with staff to ensure a smooth operation. Requirements

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items that weigh up to 10lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Reviews, tracks, and accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks and blocks rooms.
• Confirms reservations and cancellations.
• Communicates to appropriate staff that there are guests who are waiting for an available room.
• Organizes and coordinates check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Reviews requests for late check-outs and approves according to occupancy.
• Welcomes and greets guests, anticipating and addressing their needs.
• Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contributes to team goals and follows company policies and safety procedures.
