About The Position

The placement opportunity includes the following departments and positions: Department: Orientation Position: Orientation Duration: 0.5 month Job Description: You will receive an orientation to the company and the local community which includes learning about our company’s customers, culture, business strategies, etc.; learn about payroll schedules and payroll tax withholding; local training area, housing options, apartment complexes, and transportation options; meet key contacts and other employees; receive computer training on company systems; receive an orientation to the local community including cultural centers, volunteer opportunities, local sporting events, and entertainment venues. Orientation is scheduled for up to one month and takes place concurrently with the first training phase. Department: Rooms Division Position: Pre -Arrival Coordinator Duration: 3.5 months Job Description: You will learn to provide a personalized guest experience to the guest during their pre -arrival, check -in, throughout their stay and upon departure; learn to follow up with guests to ensure their request or problems have been meet to their satisfaction; update their guest folio to accurately track; coordinate guests arrival with other departments; assign rooms per guest request; learn to review out of order rooms daily to determine status and estimate return to inventory; review late check out requests and approve or deny; ensure market codes/rate plans are up to date; verify and adjust billing for guests; learn to organize check -in/registration procedures for arriving groups; communicate with other departments and assist as needed; publish show rooms; approve or deny upgrade requests. Department: Rooms DivisionPosition: Guest Services Agent Duration: 4 monthsJob Description: You will learn processes for preparing VIP arrivals, assign amenities, process special needs; contact top clients prior to arrival; inspect rooms and suites for VIPs/repeat guests prior to arrival; act as liaison between guest and operating departments; maintain and update hotel guests database; escort arriving VIPs/repeat guests to their room and provide hotel tour upon check in; provide highest standard of service; handle VIP complaints efficiently; coordinate teamwork with other departments. Department: Rooms Division Position: Front Desk Supervisor Duration: 4 months Job Description: You will learn to oversee the front desk agents; learn to handle walk over procedures; maintain hourly house counts; sell -out controls; room key controls; learn to train staff on upselling techniques; resolve guest concerns; assign tasks to front desk agents; provide training and support to front desk agents; maintain all front desk related equipment and a par stock of supplies; strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue; learn to review Housekeeping reports and follow -up; learn front desk manager duties and responsibilities such as yield management, forecasts, scheduling and staffing processes and daily management meetings.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA).
