About The Position

The Room Service Specialist at Johnson Memorial Hospital is responsible for facilitating meal selections for patients and their families, ensuring that dietary needs are met while providing excellent customer service. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Previous office and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for face-to-face and phone interactions with patients and family members regarding meal selection choices.
• Serves meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner.
• Acts as a liaison between Nutrition Production staff, Clinical Dietitian, and Nursing staff regarding patient diet orders and meal selections.
• Processes diet order requisitions using established systems for menu processing.
• Verifies that meal orders meet diet order parameters.
• Ensures electronic records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Participates in meal assembly process as instructed by Shift Supervisor.
• Completes data entry and reports processing as directed.
• Inventories and stocks pantries with supplies on a daily basis.
• Performs special project assignments and other duties as assigned.
