About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for a Room Service Server who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experience. Our Room Service Coordinator will be a member of a dynamic team who provides service and support to our award-winning employees. This position reports to the Room Service Manager. U.S. work authorization is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Room Service/Serving experience
  • Previous exposure to Hotel Operating Systems (Opera, Micros POS and hotsos systems preferred)
  • Flexible work hours to include morning and night shifts
  • Food Handler’s Permit and Mixologist Permit
  • Strong Communication Skills necessary for the success of this role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  • Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests; Ability to answer calls in the absence of the order taker or manager
  • Check the guest’s in room private bar daily and restock accordingly; communicate with order taker any special private bar requests or needs; remove private bar contents upon guest request and re-stock when guest departs.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in room deliveries to ensure orders/requests are delivered in a timely manner; deliver and set up guest amenities.
