Job Responsibilities As a Room Service Server , you will take orders and serve meals to guests in their rooms while providing exceptional guest service. Your specific duties in this role will include:
Requirements
- 1 to 3 months related experience; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
- Answer phone in accordance with proper telephone standards to take room service orders and relay orders to kitchen.
- Deliver all food items, beverages and necessary accompaniments to guest rooms.
- Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
- Answer questions regarding room service and respond to requests for additional food or drink service.
- Collect room service trays from halls outside of guest rooms and bring to kitchen.
- Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings.
- Deliver VIP gifts, guest amenities and package items to guest rooms as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Room Service station and surrounding areas.
- Provide information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel to guests.
