About The Position

In the new heart of Woodinville the beauty of the Pacific Northwest meets its newest destination, The SOMM Hotel and Spa. The SOMM is set to open in summer 2025, becoming the centerpiece of a 20-acre master-planned development in Woodinville, Washington. The SOMM Hotel and Spa is a 164-room luxury hotel that will offer a blend of upscale accommodations and amenities. The project is part of Harvest, a town square-style development that will house nearly 100,000 square feet of restaurants, bars, wine-tasting rooms, and recreation. It also includes hundreds of apartments and townhouses, making it a comprehensive destination in its own right. The hotel itself is designed to be a haven of comfort and indulgence. It features a signature restaurant, rooftop bar, 10,000 sq ft of meeting spaces, and a 5,661-square-foot spa. Additionally, there will be 9,000 square feet of retail space that will complement the hotel’s offerings. This retail section is expected to include wine-tasting rooms, restaurants, and other facilities. Requirements

Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Responsibilities

Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups, as well as trays or carts with food, beverages, condiments, utensils, and any special requests.
Deliver orders promptly and professionally to guest rooms.
Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
Provides post-service follow up with guests as needed and retrieves trays or carts after use
Run food for Bin47 restaurant as needed when room service levels are low
