  • Food Handlers Certificate within 30 Days - Sarah Bush Lincoln

Responsibilities

  • Assists in restocking coolers, plates, flatware, cups, etc
  • Assists wherever needed in the Room Service operation – taking patient meal orders, etc.
  • Confirms the patient’s identity by checking ID badge and verifying patient name and date of birth
  • Delivers guest trays and collects payment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all menu offerings, diet variations and specifics of what may be ordered by patients based on their physician prescribed diet.
  • Ensures that all foods are covered, labeled, dated and timed in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Ensures “Always Very Satisfied” service. Uses good judgment in addressing / resolving any patient complaints
  • Functions as part of a team that ensures delivery of food to patients within approved time of 45 minutes.
  • Inventories, stocks and maintains the PAR levels for the unit refrigerators with snack/food items as required to meet patient needs during hours Room Service is not available.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary work environment as established by all regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times while on duty.
  • Records and monitors all quality control indicators.
  • Returns soiled trays after meal service from soiled cart.
  • Transports patient Room Service carts to units and delivers meals to patients following the approved method of service and using key customer service scripting.
