About The Position

The White Mountain Hotel & Resort is seeking dynamic, full-time, year-round person to join our team as a Room Inspector. Work in a beautiful 4-star resort located at the base of Whitehorse Ledge in North Conway, NH. This position requires skills in both verbal communication, organization, and delivery of the stellar guest experience. Holidays and weekends are a must. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, checking rooms after other housekeepers have cleaned to ensure the highest quality of standards are met, maintaining housekeeping closets, and assisting guests as needed. Experience in hospitality is preferred but will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Checks each room prior to guest arrival to ensure highest quality of standards are met and exceed guests expectations.
  • Maintains cleaning schedule priorities by following room assignment list
  • Announces presence by knocking on room doors; returning at a later time to occupied rooms.
  • Makes bed by removing and replacing sheets and pillow cases, checking blankets and bedspreads for soiling; replacing soiled items.
  • Removes miscellaneous debris by removing trash, newspapers, and room service trays.
  • Refreshes bath area by cleaning the tub, toilet, and sinks; removing used towels and bathmats; replacing bath linens.
  • Replenishes room supplies by restocking toiletries and stationery supplies.
  • Cleans floors by washing and vacuuming floors.
  • Maintains furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning and polishing glass surfaces.
  • Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of the shift.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with security regulations.
  • Enhances housekeeping and hotel reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
