Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Have a strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high degree of autonomy.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry

Responsibilities

  • Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Should have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and housekeeping staff.
  • Obtain list of vacant rooms to be cleaned immediately & list of prospective checkouts or discharges in order to prepare work assignments.
  • To be aware of the day’s business both in Room Occupancy, Special Requirements and VIP needs.
  • Liaise with Reception regarding room moves, VIP guests, special needs and act on any information given.
  • Excellent knowledge on how to inspect properties.
  • Daily inspections of all guest rooms, public areas, recreational area for cleanliness, appearance and to make sure these areas are kept as per the hotel’s standards.
  • Ensure that company standards for guest services, décor, and housekeeping services are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct meetings and training sessions as and when required.
  • To actively train all staff to the standards laid down in the training manual and monitor their work performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
