The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and condition of the hotel guest rooms to ensure guest satisfaction. This role involves providing guests with clean and fresh sheets, towels, and other necessities, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness at all times. Key duties include cleaning all assigned guest rooms within required time limits, updating daily assignment sheets, changing bed linens, replenishing room supplies, lifting and moving furniture, cleaning various surfaces such as rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and all types of furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, armoires, and desks. The attendant will also thoroughly clean bathroom areas, polish woodwork and metal work, clean windows, door panels, and sills, empty wastebaskets, replenish bathroom supplies, sort and distribute linen, organize and stock cleaning carts, transport trash, and conduct deep cleaning projects. Additionally, the role involves cleaning hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, locker rooms, and other work areas as needed, performing general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards, turning in Lost & Found items, practicing emergency procedures, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring unacceptable rooms are not released to inventory until addressed.
