As a Room Attendant at Oceans Edge Resort and Marina, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas. You’ll ensure a welcoming, comfortable environment by performing tasks such as cleaning, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. Attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness are essential in providing an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience in a commercial or hotel setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms and suites according to the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).
• Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, bedrooms, and sitting areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Make beds with fresh linen and ensure clean towels and amenities are placed in bathrooms daily.
• Dust all furniture and surfaces, including end tables, desks, coffee tables, dressers, and mirrors, ensuring a thorough clean.
• Vacuum all guest rooms and corridors daily, ensuring cleanliness in all areas.
• Replace room amenities, literature, and other items as outlined in hotel S.O.P.s.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, replace liners, and clean as needed.
• Collect food trays, dishes, glasses, etc., from rooms and return to the appropriate areas.
• Ensure closets are stocked with the correct number of hangers and laundry bags, replacing as necessary.
• Promptly respond to guest requests, ensuring satisfaction and a positive experience.
• Maintain adequate supplies, linen, and materials, keeping inventory and replenishing when necessary.
• Safeguard and manage any assigned keys throughout the shift.
• Return lost items to the housekeeping department at the end of each day.
• Communicate completed rooms to the supervisor and return to any unfinished rooms to complete tasks or replace missing items.
• Adhere to proper handling of cleaning supplies to ensure safety and prevent damage to hotel property.
• Notify the supervisor of any maintenance issues or special requests.
• Assist in preventive cleaning programs and other special assignments as required.
• Attend all housekeeping meetings and training sessions.
