About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and designated public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. This position plays a key role in delivering a welcoming experience aligned with Candlewood Suites’ extended-stay brand standards.

Requirements

Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required (training provided)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience in hotel housekeeping, especially extended-stay properties
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Familiarity with hotel cleaning standards and productivity expectations

Responsibilities

Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including beds, bathrooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, and living areas
Replace linens, towels, amenities, and supplies as required
Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all room surfaces
Ensure rooms are properly staged and guest-ready according to brand standards
Follow Candlewood Suites and IHG brand cleanliness standards at all times
Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly
Adhere to hotel procedures for lost & found items
Maintain productivity standards and room quotas
Greet guests courteously when encountered and respond professionally to requests
Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
Report guest concerns or special requests to the Housekeeping Manager or Front Desk
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
Follow OSHA and hotel safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping cart and storage areas
Comply with hotel policies, attendance standards, and procedures
