With a wide array of brands in exciting locations, HRI Hospitality is the destination to set course for growing your career! The Barnett Hotel features High-Five Pool Bar, a 9th-floor rooftop garden. Open daily (weather permitting), our rooftop space invites guests to cozy up to the firepits and dine on tasty small plates while sipping seasonal cocktails, all with panoramic city views as a backdrop. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. This role ensures accurate drink preparation, maintains bar cleanliness, promotes responsible alcohol service, and contributes to a welcoming and efficient bar environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
  • Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state/local regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
  • Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
  • Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
  • Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
