About The Position

The Roofing Sales Representative is responsible for the solicitation, response, and closure of revenue opportunities with new and existing customers who need their solar arrays removed and reinstalled and grow roofing sales. This role will also manage a storm response plan to maximize revenue opportunities. The Roofing Sales Representative must be professional, self-motivated, dedicated to customer service, and willing to work with many different people within and outside the company. Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in selling roofing or other exterior products and/or insurance claim work or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (preferred).
  • Ability to overcome multiple rejections and persist toward closing sales.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct in-home assessments of roof damage, as well as use online resources for evaluations.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of company, sales, and financial data/information.
  • Proactive and helpful demeanor.
  • Interpersonal (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks, multitask, and solve problems independently.
  • Must have reliable transportation for work, sales, and business development purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must successfully complete and clear an MVR (motor vehicle report) background screen.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working on rooftops (frequent).
  • Comfortable working in extreme environments/climate (cold, heat, wind, etc) (frequent).
  • Regularly encounter pitched roofs, at heights (with proper safety gear).
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing (frequent).
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (infrequent).
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (frequent).
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute (frequent).
  • Must be able to transport and drive for short and long distances for work related purposes and events.
  • Travel to in-home appointments (in-person and virtual presentations), canvassing, trade-shows/conferences, company locations and facilities, and other sales territories as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-1 years of experience in selling roofing or other exterior products and/or insurance claim work or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (preferred).
  • Experience using sales estimating software tools, such as GAF Quick Roof and Xactimate (preferred).
  • Experience navigating CRM platforms (preferred).
  • Proficient in Google Suite/Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Docs, Gmail) or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain roofing lead generation and build out the plan and model for lead generation (cold calling, door knocking, canvassing, and/or other approaches that are proven to be successful and can be replicated for continued success and growth).
  • Create and deliver engaging and professional presentations to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with both new and existing customers to provide quotes and sell R&R services.
  • Effectively quote and sell roofing products to new and existing customers.
  • Successfully negotiate with customers, insurance companies, and contractors to facilitate projects while meeting profit goals.
  • Maintain clear and prompt communication with customers throughout the sales process, offering support and information as needed.
  • Lead and execute the storm response plan to generate leads for R&R services and roofing products.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless, 5-star customer experience.
  • Serve as a resource for training and information sharing with other sales representatives.
  • Conduct timely close-out meetings with customers after project completion to ensure satisfaction, finalize payments, and request favorable reviews.

Benefits

  • This is a full-time commission-based position, which includes an additional base annual salary of $18,000 (beginning at day 91 of employment).
  • On Target Earnings potential of $100,000+ based on performance.
  • Commission paid based on category and products.
  • Bi-weekly training pay of $1,384.61 for the first 90 days of employment.
  • Schedule: This position requires work door knocking, in-home, in-person, and virtual customer home appointments/presentations, at events, and company locations and may require additional hours outside of normal working hours including but not limited to mornings, evenings, and weekends.
