About The Position

Arrow Roofing Systems is growing and we're looking for a Roofing and Siding Technician to join our team! Arrow Roofing Systems is a recent extension of Arrow Service Team, who has been in the home improvement industry for over 40 years. Arrow provides and assigns company vehicles (typically a pickup truck, box truck, and trailers) with the power tools necessary to complete the job. Basic individual hand tools are employee provided. Training is fully paid and on-the-job with our experienced team. We have a team of skilled employees ready to share their diverse knowledge, skills, and tricks of the trade. Expected core training is 2 to 3 weeks but depends on overall progress. In this role, you'll be learning something new every day. Training and skill development is always ongoing in this industry. Requirements

  • Direct or closely related indirect experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
  • Individual must be familiar with aspects of exterior/carpentry work (roofing, siding, gutters, soffit, etc.) including proficient use of tools and strong knowledge of building materials.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner with or without supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to unexpected changes or challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and overall craftsmanshift/quality.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team setting.
  • Ability to be professional, act with integrity, and show empathy.
  • Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-40 lbs. May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull. Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Exposure to weather conditions with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate cold/heat. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud (occasional to frequent).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Valid and current Driver’s License (legal ability to drive is required).
  • Reliable transportation for getting to and from the office/shop.

Responsibilities

  • Shingle, siding, and soffit installation.
  • Structural patchwork and repair.
  • Sheet metal cutting and bending (using a brake).
  • Installation or replacement of vents.
  • Installation or repair/replacement of sky lights and sun tunnels.
  • Gutter and downspout installation and repair.
  • Removal/mitigation of ice dams in the cold season.
  • Assisting with customer communication when necessary.
  • Collecting material samples and details.
  • Safely operating equipment and towing/maneuvering trailers.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Assisting other restoration/reconstruction specialists as needed in our Demolition, Restoration/Reconstruction, and/or Mitigation departments (Arrow Service Team).
