About The Position
KIC Construction is looking to hire a Roofer to install new metal roofs while following OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years' roofing experience as a skilled laborer
- Experience working with various roofing materials
- Experience installing and repairing roofs
- Ability to work on steep slopes
- Experience operating material handling equipment
- Must be able to work with waterproof rubber or thermoplastic compounds
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Work well in a team environment
- Must have an Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!
- Must be able to work in extreme cold in the winter months
- Work may be conducted inside and outside the building
- Frequently lifting and moving materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance and over 50 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to work on steep sloped roofs, bend, crouch and climb ladders
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform installation of new roofing structures
- Measure, cut, lay, and secure roofing materials accurately
- Handle and apply waterproof rubber and thermoplastic roofing compounds
- Work with a wide range of roofing materials and systems
- Operate various construction tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Maintain professional working relationships with coworkers, subcontractors, and clients
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and guidelines
- Ensure all work meets job specifications, safety standards, and OSHA requirements
- Install systems following material manufacturer requirements
- Other duties as assigned
