About The Position

The Roofing Technician will be responsible for performing installation or repairs on commercial flat roofing in the metro Detroit area. The technician will work with various roofing materials such as EPDM, BUR, Torch Down, Duro-Last, and TPO. The position requires at least 2 years of flat roofing experience, and candidates should be able to quickly adapt and start working effectively. While shingle roofing experience is beneficial, it does not count towards the required 2 years of experience.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial flat roofing repair or installation experience
• Must be 18+ years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
• Ability to use hand tools
• Punctual and reliable
• Quick learner
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry over 50lbs
• Ability to use a ladder
• OSHA 10 certification within the last 5 years (required within the first 60 days of employment)
• OSHA Fall Protection training within the last 5 years (required within the first 60 days of employment)

Responsibilities

• Performing installation of Duro-Last roofs
• Consistently learning/developing skills

• Obtaining safety training and maintaining safety protocol and standards at all times
