About The Position

The position involves installing, repairing, or replacing single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions. The role requires working comfortably and safely on flat surfaces at various heights, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 80lbs
• Read a tape measure
• Able to use basic hand and power tools
• Accustomed to working outdoors
• Capable of bending over, kneeling, or standing for extended periods
• Positive attitude and willingness to work with a team

Responsibilities

• Comfortably and safely work on flat surfaces at various heights
• Climb various types of ladders
• Unload materials from truck and load materials onto the roof via ladder, crane, or boom truck
• Clear debris and old roofing material from the roof
• Remove and replace any damaged underlayment
• Fasten new insulation material to the roof
• Unroll and affix roofing material
• Clear out gutters and drains
• Become familiar with the scope of work and the materials being utilized
• Follow all design and manufacturer specifications
• Maintain communications with the foreman or leadsman regarding questions or necessary deviations
• Protect Jobsite surroundings from damage while maintaining a clean working environment
• Follow the acting 'Roof Monitor'
• Be aware of all first aid, safety equipment, MSDS information, and project-specific safety procedures
• Assist with the use and care of all company equipment & materials
• Notify foreman or office staff of any damage or necessary maintenance
• Ensure all projects are left in a neat, orderly, and water-tight manner at the end of each day
• Ability to lift and carry 80lbs
